FIRST UPDATE IN 6 MONTHS... OOPS

Wow, uh, where'd the time go? This year has been a whirlwind so far... Well, not so much summer. But I'll get to that!

I finished high school in early June, and let me tell you... the last three or four weeks of school was the most stressful period of time in my life. I, unsurprisingly, procrastinated until the point of no return and only scraped by with passing grades in mandatory classes. But all's well that ends well, and while it took almost a month and a half to heal my body from the damage that stress caused it, I've learned my lesson (for now), and will be going into college wiser for it (hopefully?).

I've spent this summer being ridiculously lazy. Almost no art, barely left my house, and lots and lots of sleep. I did get into , so I've been working on that. You can check out my OCT account if you're interested in checking out what I'm doing there, but shhhhhhh no character spoilers for that group please! All will be revealed in due time~
I'm sad because my tablet is starting to die, though Good thing I'm not doing comics, right? I got it in 2009, and it's a Wacom Bamboo. Not a Bamboo Create or whatever. It's just the "Bamboo." The wire connection is getting finicky, and the pressure has always been spotty. Going to start shopping for a Bamboo Create or an Intuos (by shop, I mean put on my Christmas list). Because of that, I won't be putting out much artwork. But hey, maybe I'll try some traditional stuff!
Hahahahah noooo that's a lie.

SO HEY GUYS I WENT TO LEAKYCON LAST MONTH
It was really awesome, and I met Hank Green and other people and sdihfisdfh it was cool. It was a very different feel from Kumoricon and even Sakura-con, which is the only other huge convention I've gone to. I was surprised at how FEW guys were there. It was like 1 guy for ever 7 girls (discounting the guest speakers/artists/whatever). I bought a wand and a Gryffindor sweater, because Harry Freakin' Potter.

Aaaaand now I'm stalling until college starts on Monday. Yuck.
I have really mixed feelings about college. On one hand, it's college. On the other hand, it's still school. On the other other hand, I'm living at home and commuting. And while that is much more feasible, it's really not desirable. *sigh* Oh well.
Hey, I'll be applying for a job at the school paper, which will be cool (except for that it's called the VanCougar, which is awful)! Might as well channel Freema while I'm doing school. Maybe she'll keep me on track?
Who am I kidding, she's a fictional character who hates cooperating with me. I'm screwed.
